| AJKLTF organizes one day teachers' convention | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Feb 14: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today organized a one day teacher's convention at Dakbanglow Poonch where hundreds of teachers from across the Poonch district participated. The convention was organized under the chairmanship of Darshan Kumar, President, All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation Poonch unit. Ratan Kumar, State General secretary of the Federation was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the convention the teachers discussed the problems being faced by the teaching community and how they can be mitigated through dialogue with the Education authorities. The speakers also stressed on the need of reforms in Education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
The speakers criticized the state government for allotting other works like Mid Day Meal, Census, BLO etc and asked the government to keep the teachers free to teach. They also suggested engagement of NGOs or private contractors to run the midday scheme. |
