Jammu, Feb 14: A man in an inebriated condition today climbed on the mobile tower alleging harrasment by police in Miran Sahib area on city outskirts here, police said here. They said that his family had lodged several complaints against Sukhwinder of Miran Sahib on domestic issues and beating them. "Police acting on complaints called him for questioning to the police station but instead he climbed on the tower and started abusing the police," they added.
Police however, said that years back, he was also removed from the selection list in the police department due to cases registered against him. "We are trying to counsel him and asking him to come down," police added. |
