Youth Cong activists stage protest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 14: Expressing concern over prevailing political uncertainty in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Youth Congress today staged protest demonstration. Youth Congress leaders were addressing one day convention of the Youth Congress held at Raipur Domana under the chairmanship of Dr Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary IYC and I/C J&K Youth Congress. Pranav Shagotra President J&K Youth Congress presided over the function which was organised by Hoshiar Singh Chib Lok Sabha General Secretary and Ravi Kant AYC President. Mula Ram Former Minister and Vice President JKPCC was the chief Guest in the convention. Besides discussing prevailing political situation in J&K, incident of prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) was also discussed in the convention and speakers lambasted BJP led NDA government and goons of ABVP for gagging dissent voice. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Uma Shanker Pandey, said that real face of ABVP workers has been exposed in JNU episode because it was ABVP workers who had raised anti-national slogans. "It is very clear from the video viral on the social media that it was ABVP workers who had shouted anti-India slogans", Dr Pandey said that JNUSU president Khaniya Kumar was innocent and he was arrested only for opposing anti-people policies of the BJP and other right wing organisations. Pandey demanded immediate release of Khaniya Kumar and other JNU workers who were arrested by the Delhi Police on serious charges. Later Youth Congress activists took out a procession and burnt effigy of ABVP and other right wing organisations for creating terror in a prestigious educational institution like JNU. They said that since its formation, NDA government has been trying to capture various Universities of the country.
