Congress blames BJP for utter neglect of Bishnah area | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 14: Senior Congress leader and Advocate Mohinder Bhardwaj blamed the BJP for utter neglect of Bishnah area as the party had forged this alliance in the name of ushering Jammu region particularly suburbs and rural areas such as Bishnah into a " new era" of development. Addressing a public meeting here, Bhardwaj said that the development works in and around this village and other areas of Bishnah division have come to a standstill due to misgovernance and mishandling by the previous PDP-BJP coalition Government. The promises have proved to be hollow and the BJP leadership thoroughly stands exposed, he added. He sought immediate direct involvement of Governor N N Vohra to resolve problems of Karail Manhasa and other villages and border areas of the segment. In this connection he referred to the broken roads and irrigation network, irregular power and water supply and tardy ration supply and said that the situation has become alarming as no maintenance work of roads and irrigation network has been taken either by the previous government or the current administration. He expressed apprehension that due to total neglect by the administration and its complacency the funds meant for development of Bishnah would either be diverted to other areas or will remain unused and would expire as the financial year is ending in a month's time. The current situation is nothing but a reflection of the total failure of the earlier PDP-BJP dispensation which was a mere power sharing arrangement with welfare of the poor and under privileged people and farmers having been its lowest priority. Lambasting the BJP - PDP Coalition, Dubey said that the Government was a big failure on all fronts. He said that the BJP's policy to divide the society stands exposed. He further said that BJP had received the people of Jammu region in particular by making tall claim which still remain unfulfilled. |
