Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 14: SACT and Welfare Society organized "Kanya Pujan" on Sunday to preserve the Dogra culture and tradition of believing the girls as symbol of Goddess-Maa Durga and also to discourage the celebration of Valentines Day at SIDCO Chowk, Bari Brahmana. According to press release, they argued that the western culture has damaged the image and respect for the Womenfolk. We are going far from our traditions, culture and festivals as few evils of other culture have emerged and damaged our culture and traditions. "Valentine Day, a foreign culture celebration is one of the evils has badly attacked on our culture and damage the image and respect of womenfolk. To preserve our culture as well as respect for womenfolk, the society appealed the people of all civil society to discourage the celebration of the same", they appealed.
