Two siblings die, seven of family hospitalized after consuming 'poisonous' food | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Mar 10: Two siblings died on spot and seven other members of ill-fated family were admitted in the hospital when they consumed some poisonous food in a remote village in Rajouri district on late night hours on Wednesday, The incident took place in Panglar village under the jurisdiction of Tryath village under the jurisdiction of Dharamshal Police Station, police sources said. They said that the deceased siblings have been identified as Imitiaz (6) and Imran (3) both sons of Mohd Suleman of Panglar a remote village in Khawas tehsil of Rajoiuri. Meanwhile those who have been hospitalized in the nearby Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani have been identified as Master Qayoom (15) s/o Mohd Rafiq, Master Sattar (10) s/o Noor Mohd, Master Mustafa (12) s/o Mohd Bashir, Khursheed Begam (28) w/o Mohd Suleman, Asha Bi (50) w/o Meera Baksh , Mohd Suleman and Noor Mohd (70). SSP Rajouri Rajeshawar Singh said that according to preliminary report the family members had used maize flour after purchasing it from a local shop and after that all the members complained some uneasiness and started vomiting. "Two minors siblings died on spot while other family members were rushed to the nearby hospital at Tryath from there after medical aid referred to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani" said SSP. Senior police official added that according to other information from area the family was busy in sheep shearing and poisonous substance used for shearing might have dropped in the food. "But was the exact cause of incident would be cleared only after detailed investigation" said SSP Rajouri adding, "Police have started inquest proceeding in this incident. |
