Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 10 : President Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), Zamir Ahmad Thakur, who happens to be Joint Secretary of the State Sports Council, today refused to be part of the recently constituted Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA). Important to mention here that the JKOA president and PDP leader, Rangil Singh had included JKFA president in the list of office bearers, appointing him one of the vice-presidents of the Association. However, Zamir Thakur has not written about his disassociation with the Olympic body directly, but through a letter addressed to the Secretary, State Sports Council, copy which may have been despatched to president JKOA. "It seems, they (JKOA) are bent upon to tarnish the image of the Sports Council and I'm Joint Secretary Kashmir of the organisation. Under such situation, I am distancing myself from the statement appearing in the media and not be construed as part or vice president of the JKOA," the letter to the Secretary by Thakur said. |
