Police organizes debate competition 3/11/2016 12:15:47 AM UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: Udhampur Police today organized a debate competition under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police at Shivalik college of Education Udhampur. The topic of debate was "Drug Awareness". As many as 15 participants from different schools/institutes of the area participated in the competition. While floating the messages in the society regarding ill effects of the menace of drug awareness and the ways to prevent drugs addiction among the youth, participants expressed their views openly with high enthusiasm. They also thanked police for such awareness programmes from time to time. First prize of Rs 1500 was bagged by Shahid of Delhi Public School Udhampur, 2nd prize of Rs 1000 was bagged by Rai Sudhi Singh of Braham Rishi Bawra Vidhya Peeth Udhampur and 3rd prize of Rs 500 each was shared by Priya Thakur of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur and Mansi of Happy Model School Udhampur along with momentum and appreciation certificates. The Chief Guest of the debate competition was Mohan Lal Kaith, Addl SP Udhampur, Gourav Mahajan Dy SP Hqrs.
