RAMBAN, Mar 15 : Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Delta Force in association with Dangal Committee Ukharal organized a Vishal Dangal at tehsil Ukharal of district Ramban today.
In all, 41 bouts were played in the one day long wrestling event wherein renowned wrestlers from district Ramban participated. Col. 12 RR, S Chatterjee was the chief guest on the occasion while chairman Dangal Committee Ukharal, Seva Singh Bali, Major Vishwanathan, Charlie COY, Ukharal, SM Sharavan Singh Patiyal, Subedar Angad Singh present on the function.
The main bout was fought between wrestler Kuldeep Singh of Kunchi Ukharal and wrestler Darshan Singh of Ramsoo.
This bout ended in a draw which lasted for 30 minutes and the wrestlers jointly awarded with Silver Pot (Sagla) and water pot. Speaking on the occasion Seva Singh Bali said that this wrestling was organized from the past long time and every year it was held which were witnessed by thousands of people every year. |
