RAJOURI, Mar 15 : With an aim to boost the confidence of farmers engaged in 'Ginger Cultivation', scientists of Sher-e- Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) held an awareness camp in a border village of Rajouri and asked farmers to use scientific and modern techniques for better ginger production. This awareness camp was based on theme 'Cultivation of Ginger, various plant protection measures and its value addition' was conducted at village Tanda, in Sunderbani sub division of Rajouri District by the scientists of SKUAST-Jammu under Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Transformation Holistic Initiative (SARTHI) Programme-Shivalik Range funded by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. Ginger and vegetable growing farmers from Tanda and nearby villages took part in the programme. |
