PHE ITI, CP workers continue protest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 15 : On the second consecutive day the daily rated, ITI trained and Community Participation (CP) workers of the PHE department staged protest dharna in support of their long pending demands at BC Road PHE complex here today. Association president Tanveer Husain said that last many years the association has been struggling to seek justice but the association has always befooled and despite of so many assurance practically nothing is being done by the state government with the result the workers of PHE department has been facing problems. They further said that number of committee and subcommittee were framed by the government to resolve for pending demands but the files were always gathering dust in the secretariat. They demanded the regulizarisation of daily wager, ITI trained , CP workers , land case who engaged from 1994 to till date, release of pending wages. Tanveer appealed to Governor NN Vohra to solve the demands before the stipulated date any if any lack of action observed the union has extended the strike. They further said that they apologized for the problems being faced by the people of Jammu province and pilgrims at Katra for disturbed water supply. |
