Poonch, Mar 22: An ambulance driver was today allegedly thrashed by a GREF contractor in Chandak area of the district. Official sources said a contractor was involved in the construction of a road at Chandak when an ambulance driver happened to come there. When he tried to drive on the road, the contractor allegedly caught hold of him and thrashed him, sources alleged.
The incident led to a traffic jam in the area. Health workers have demanded a police action against the contractor.
