Sanskrit, ICCCR-HRM win ties in JU Cricket 4/4/2016 10:55:58 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 4: Department of Sanskrit and ICCCR and HRM Department won their respective matches to advance in the ongoing Inter-department Cricket Tournament of University of Jammu, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, on the campus ground, here today. Earlier, in the first match of the day, Department of Sanskrit registered an outright victory against The Business School (TBS) beating latter by 10 wickets. Batting first, TBS made 109 runs for nine wickets in 15 overs. Vishav played fine innings of 64 runs coming off 46 deliveries. Rajan and Pankaj contributed 14 and 10 runs respectively. From Sanskrit, Mahesh, Arun, Harish, Raghu and Surinder shared apiece each. In reply, Department of Sanskrit chased the target of 110 runs in 11.4 overs without any loss. Arjun and Satish were main contributors to the total with 66 and 42 runs in their respective accounts. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, ICCR and HRM Department trounced Department of Geography by five wickets. Earlier, batting first, Department of Geography made 108 runs for seven wickets in 15 overs. Lakinder (23), Pankaj (24), Aatish (20) and Sandeep (15) were main scorers. Polland, Anuj, Samarth and Sushain took one wicket each. Later, ICCR-HRM chased the 109 runs target in 13.5 overs losing five wickets. Polland Singh (42 off 22 balls), Aayush (25 off 18 balls) and Abhinav (22) played fine innings. Lokinder claimed two wickets while Vishal and Rohit shared apiece each.
