Srinagar, Apr 4: Vindicating Early Times reports about fine-tuning of portfolios, three former Ministers asked to rest in the Mehbooba government have been dropped for their rude behavior towards party cadre. On March 31, Early Times carried a story titled "Finance Ministry to go to Karra or Drabu" in which besides other revelations about government formation then ET had said that three PDP legislators who enjoyed Ministerial perks in previous PDP-BJP government will be dropped in Mehbooba Mufti led government. Today revelations proved correct and former Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir, former Minister of state (MOS) for irrigation and Flood control, Abdul Majeed Padroo and another former MoS, Muhammad Ashraf Mir were dropped from the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti led Government. One noted PDP legislator who wished not to be named told Early Times that former Ministers Javaid Mustafa Mir,Abdul Majeed Padroo and Muhammad Ashraf Mir were dropped in this government for their alleged rude behavior towards party cadre during previous PDP-BJP government. He said that from most parts of Sonawar represented by Ashraf Mir, Noorabad by Abdul Majeed Padroo and Budgam by Javaid Mustafa Mir, PDP workers on many occasions had complained to PDP High command during former Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed led government their representatives and then Ministers ignored them every time they approached them for developmental works in their areas. He said that even some senior party workers had also then complained to PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti about alleged downbeat attitude shown by these legislators to them and Mehbooba while taking cognizance of reports had assured them action against them. In the same ET story Published on 31 March it was mentioned that PDP legislator from Pampore Zahoor Mir who took oath today will be inducted in new government and there will be changes in portfolios to PDP legislators under the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti led government. Sources told Early Times that Ashraf Mir was shocked to know that he was not in the council of ministers and had recently on his facebook page written that "You will feel the new Change" Mir was apologetic to his voters for being inaccessible in last tenure and wrote that "I assure to my people of Sonwar that this time I will reach to every single Street. As I also know last time I was not able to visit everywhere due to the health Concerns of my dad. I apologize for all that." Meanwhile despite repeated attempts, former Ministers, Ashraf Mir and Abdul Majeed Padroo dropped this time did not respond to phone calls. |
