| People seek action against assailants, call on SSP | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 4:- A deputation from Kathua town today called on Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua and sought action against culprit who attacked on one Atif few days back.
The deputation led by Ajeet Sharma and Shakeel Ahmad Tony along with other members of deputation called on SSP Kathua and apprised her with the case.
After meeting with SSP Kathua, Ajeet Sharma told media persons that the deputation appraised the police officer that two group of youth had a tiff on minor issue which took ugly turn when one group attacked on others with sharp weapon resulting major injuries to one Atif. He said that the incident was reported to Police Post, but police have failed to arrest the accused till now and alleged that Police gave chance to guilty to escape their arrest.
Shakeel demanded strict action besides arrest of culprits with immediate effect and threatened to block National Highway if Police fail to arrest the culprits.
After listening to their grievances, the SSP Kathua assured to inquiry the matter and strict action if anyone finds found erring in performing duties. |
