| Shifting of 'transformer' from close vicinity to K Oil Depot demanded | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr 4: Locals from a village of Ramnagar have demanded the concerned Power Development Department (PDD) to shift the transformer which is installed in close vicinity of a Kerosene Oil Depot and is posing a potential risk to common people who visit to fetch K.Oil quota.
Alleging failure to concede to their genuine demand, the resident from Johnu of Tehsil Ramnager in Udhampur district alleged despite repeated pleas to shift transformer from the area the concerning department has utterly failed to shift it
Sandokhu Ram, Sham Lal, Parkash Singh and others told to Early Times that the things become worst during rainy season as the danger of risk start looming upon them when they visit CAPD and K.Oil depots. They lamented that they have met with officials of concerning department in Udhampur some two months ago in this regard and then senior officer of the department directed concerning JE to issue four poles for the shifting of transformer but the matter is unresolved till date.
When contacted XEn PDD Chamail Singh briefly said that within days the department will be shifting the transformer to another place as it is time consuming case. |
