Jammu, Apr 6 : A velidictory function was organized to felicitate the participants of seven days long Annual NSS Camp at village Chak Jaralan, Bishnah, Samba. The seven days long camp was organized by the NSS unit of Dogra College of Education, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Samba. Various activities were held in this camp which included socio economic survey, cleanliness drive, yoga asanas, self defence training programme, awareness rallies and plantation drive were performed. A voluntary blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with Govt. Medical College, Jammu under the supervision of Dr. Vijay Sahwney, Prof. and Head of P.G. Deptt. of Blood Transfusion and Medicine. A motivational lecture was also delivered by Dr. Sahwney on the occasion. The function started with lighting of traditional lamp with the welcome address by Renu Sharma, NSS Programme Officer Dogra College of Education followed by the camp report. In her report she highlighted the role of NSS in developing students' personality through community services and gave a detailed account of the multifarious activities organized during the camp. |
