| Army to observe martyrs day | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 10: Station Commander, Brig R Srivastava under the aegis of Ace of Spades Division has decided three day programme to pay tribute to the brave locals and soldiers who in 19447-48 had sacrificed their lives while fighting against the Pakistani intruders to liberate the Rajouri town and its adjoining areas.
The celebrations are being organized under the supervision of Station Commander from April 11 to 13 which include an ex-serviceman assistance centre to resolve the problems of veteran and updating them with new schemes and welfare measures. "Medical, Eye and dental camps will also be established at Advance Landing Ground (ALG) & beside this a photo exhibition to showcase the glory of Rajouri and Army Equipment display for school children will be the highlights of the three days celebrations" said a senior army officer. He added painting competition, motivational lectures and visit to Hall of Fame have also been planned for school students. On April 13, a Peace March will be taken out by students which will be followed by a cultural programme by Rajouri citizens, school children and Army personnel. |
