After suspending talks, Pak violates ceasefire | Double Cross! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 10: Pakistan has done it again. After sending its team, probing the Pathankot terror attack, to India it has said no to the visit of NIA team to Pakistan. The Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit in New Delhi has announced that Indo-Pak talks process stands suspended and there is no possibility of parleys being resumed in the near future. A few days after Basit announced that talks process has been called off, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch Sector on early Sunday morning. They fired mortar fire and automatics from around 4.30 p.m., which was responded "appropriately" by the India troops, said a statement issued by Defence PRO here. Indian troops retaliated in equal measure. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It's not for the first time that Pakistan has backstabbed India. It has been doing so for the past 60-years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took everyone by a surprise by visiting Pakistan in the last week of December in 2015. He extended the hand of friendship to Pakistan but within a few days his peace gesture was reciprocated by Pak sponsored terrorists attacking the Pathankot airbase and killing our seven brave soldiers." The analyst said, "After sending the terrorists to Pathankot, Pakistan condemned the attack and staged a drama to get it probed. The evidence provided by India clearly proves that JeM Chief Moulana Azhar and his brother Rouf were behind the attack and it was masterminded by them." It's in place to mention here that Pakistan investigating team had registered an open FIR in connection with Pathankot attack and had given clean chit to JeM Chief Moulana Azhar and his brother Rouf. "The NIA gave enough evidence to Pakistan team, which visited India recently, about the involvement of Azhar and his brother in the attack. The Pakistani team had assured NIA that it would work on the leads provided by it to nail the JeM terrorists responsible for the attack, but soon after the team returned the neighbouring country took a U-turn and announced that NIA team would not be allowed to visit Pakistan," said a defence analyst. He said, "Pakistan has double crossed India and has changed it's colour like a chameleon. It has called off the talks process without getting in touch with India and violated the ceasefire to indicate that it's not interested in peace talks." "It's high time for India to take a strong note of the misadventures of Pakistan and act accordingly. By violating ceasefire Pakistan has made its intentions clear. One hopes India doesn't get bogged down and gives a befitting reply to Pakistan," the analyst added. |
