| NIT row: Why are NC leaders from Jammu mum? | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 10: Despite strong Modi wave in 2014 Assembly polls, people of Jammu district had elected two MLAs of National Conference- with a hope that their elected representatives would protect their interests along with interests of the nation as a whole at the time of crisis. But, National Conference leadership of Jammu province has miserable failed to protect interests of the people of Jammu region. Instead of protecting wishes and aspirations of Jammu region, NC leaders of Jammu following pro-separatists policies of their Kashmir based political masters.
These days a large number of students from Jammu are facing problems in NIT Srinagar along with other non-local students. Congress leaders from Jammu are holding protests demonstrations against state government for its failure to solve problems of the non-local students of NIT Srinagar. But leaders of NC, which claims to be a pan-J&K party, are tightlipped over police atrocities on non-local students of NIT, Srinagar. None of the NC leader has uttered even a single word in favour of non-local students, which comprised a huge number of Jammu students. Shamelessly, all Jammu based NC leaders are echoing views of their Kashmir based leaders who are not supportive of non-local students of NIT, Srinagar. Anti-Jammu mindset of NC leaders of Jammu has once again exposed. Despite being representatives of Jammu, all NC leaders are tightlipped and are speaking in the tones of their Kashmir centric political masters. |
