| 'Drug smuggler' Tariq King arrested | | | Early Times Report
srinagar, Apr 10:In a major breakthrough, Sopore police arrested Tariq alias Brilliant King who was allegedly one of the noted drug peddler of North Kashmir.
A police official said Tariq King was wanted drug peddler who was evading his arrests from a long time. "On a specific information that Tariq King was travelling in his Alto No JK05D 3042 from Baramulla towards Sopore a special nakka was laid at Krangshivan colony by SDPO Rafiabad Shabir Khan and supervised by SP Sopore Harmeet singh. When asked to stop by the Nakka party King tried to fled but after a hot chase and swift action by DYSP Shabir Khan the drug peddler was arrested," the official said.
He said a huge consignment of Psychotropics substances were recovered from his possession which includes more then 1500 bottles of Corex and 2500 Packets of sypasmoproxivan capsules. Tariq Brillant had many FIRs in different police stations in North Kashmir districts of Bandipore, Sopore and Kupwara. A FIR No 43/2016 U/S 8/22 NDPS is lodged at Police Station Tarzoo. SP Sopre while speaking said that Tariq was a wanted drug peddler from a long time and is also running some medicine shops in the town. "We are also going to recommend the cancellation of licence of his shops with the drug controller," said SP Sopore Harmeet Singh. |
