ITI instructors (contractual) demand regulation polic | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 10: A large number of faculties of ITI Hiranagar staged protest demonstration in the premises of ITI Hiranagar wherein they raised their voice against harassment by state government and technical department. Speaking on the occasion, Meena Jamwal, an Academic Instructor on Contractual basis, said they have been rendering their services for 8 to 10 years continually as Academic Instructors on low pay that cannot meet their daily needs in the era of high inflation. She informed that most of them have attained at overage limit but neither hike in remuneration nor any regularization police has been framed by previous government where as people in Education department are duly being confirmed after 5 years of their service under ReT Regularization policy. Naresh Kumar, another Instructor said PM of India talks about "Skill India' but people who contribute to make India skilled developed, unsure about their future then how can they make the future of their students. He informed that instructors work in Himachal Pardesh, Punjab, Haryana and other Northern India states get smart salary on contractual basis but J&K government pays just Rs 6000/- per month which is not less than a mockery with them. They were demanding regularization as per ReTs in JK Education department and hike in monthly remuneration. They threatened to stage mass protest in entire state if government ignores their demands. |
