| Rakesh Wazir joins Congress party | | | | Jammu, Apr 10 : The much speculative joining of Rakesh Wazir State Gen.Secretary Bahujan Samaj Party & President Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra came to conclusion today with his joining into Congress Party at Jammu in presence of its National Gen.Secretary & Incharge J&K affairs Ambika Soni. The entry of Wazir besides having its effect in Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha but its main impact would be in Nagrota, Reasi & Udhampur constituencies because these constituencies had been represented by him or his ancestors right from the very beginning like his grand mother Nirmala Wazir. The Reasi Assembly Constituency remained represented for long by his family ancestors including Bansi Lal Kohistani who remained MLA,MLC & Parliamentry Secretary by representing this constituency. Being the President of Hotel & Restaurant Association, and the main social figure in Katra & Reasi district also would have its impact overthere. Wazir while speaking on the occasion said that his joining of Congress is a home comming for him because out of 44 years of his total age the people from his family remained in service of the country as MLA, MLC or on other positions with integrity for more than 23 years with the Congress and since Congress is a party which remained associated and linked with his family even prior to his birth, joining of that party is like coming back home for him. |
