Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 15: Making more and more people aware about the basics of finance and banking, J&K Bank conducted a series a financial literacy camps across Bandipore, Ganderbal and Budgam districts. These awareness camps were financially supported by NABARAD. In collaboration with the local business units and Lead bank offices, the bank's Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Centre Bandipore organized many such camps in the district during the last many weeks at various villages like S K Payeen, Asham, Lankreshipora, Barzulla, Nesbal, Shuko Baboo and S K Balla. Speakers informed the audiences about the budgeting, savings, advantage of saving with banks besides government sponsored schemes like PMJDY, PMMY, APY and other social security schemes like Ladli Beti. The participants were educated about the schemes of the Banks like Savings Bank, Recurring Deposit, Child Care Deposit, Educational Loans and Housing Loans. Similar camps were conducted by FLCC Ganderbal in collaboration with the local business units. The camps were organized in the district at Laar, Arhama, Gund, Kangan, Nara Naag, Pirpora, Sehpora and Gagangir.
