Valley unrest 'engineered to put Mehbooba in Dock' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 15: The government is zeroing on the political connections of the protestors in the Valley, where five people have died in 'forced' police and army firing. Sources said the investigators have picked up some credible leads and things will come out once the situation returns to normal. "Things didn't start on its own. There was some deliberate and carefully planned conspiracy to it. We have started investigations and some credible leads pointing to political angle has also come up. Though, these will be established only when more deep investigation is done only after the situation returns to normal," said a senior police official, wishing not to be named. The situation in Kashmir has turned violent just in hours of Mehbooba Mufti has taken over as a CM with the support of the BJP. The protests had been apparently instigated with some 'vested' interests most likely. "There is a possibility that some forces wanted to put the new CM in the dock from the word go. They may also be wanting to un-nerve her so that she looses the focus on governance and concentrate more on fire-fighting," said a senior official. The sources said the cause for the instigation the protest on the fabricated allegations of a girl, who had denied being molested by the army, and the people behind it are also being zeroed in. The leads have also established on whose directions they were asked to spread rumors and create a volatile situations resulting in the loss of the lives. "These were not spontaneous protests for certain. And it can be corroborated by the fact that girl had denied allegations that she was molested. So it clear points tothe fact that some had planned and executed to sic designs. They will be exposed publicly for sure and then a message will also go to the people as they are mislead and their lives are being used for the vested interests," said the official.
