Rajouri, Apr 21: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ch Lal Hussain son of the soil since he joined as Rajouri has been trying his best to improve the academic standard of the government schools by providing required teachers and better facilities. In one such attempt he has approached Abdul Qayoom Dar, Chairman/Administrator Wakaf Shahdara Shrief to adopt government high school, Shahdra. This school has a strength of more than 250 students , presence of required teaching staff but the school has no facilities like good library, laboratory, separate toilet complex for girls and boys, shortage of class rooms, no boundary wall etc. "As the school has less accommodation (rooms), no appropriate library and laboratory, computers, drinking water facility etc the department under the directions from Education Minister has approached the Administrator Wakaf Shahdara Sharief to adopt the school" said CEO. Vide his office letter No CEO/R/MC/ 1376-81 dt 20/4/16 CEO has requested the Administrator to adopt the school for overall improvement of infrastructure, provision of library, laboratory, smart & pre primary classes under the overall supervision of the Wakaf Shahdara S harief. In this connection a meeting between CEO and office holders of Wakaf Shahdara Sharief was held at Shahadra Sharief today in which all the modalities were discussed and soon the matter will be taken up with the concerned Ministers. "As the school is situated in the vicinity of the Ziarat, a meeting with the habitants of the area was organised today to give land for the construction of road to school for which they agreed. The matter soon will be taken with the concerned Minister and it would be a privilege for us to adopt this school and to make it a model school" said Abdul Qayoom Dar , Chairman/Administrator Waqaf Shahdara Sharief. |
