Early Times Report Kathua, May 9: a large number of teachers from various schools held their meeting in which members lambasted on the government for not meeting genuine demands of the teachers i.e. related to Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers of Kathua district. The speakers appealed to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Education Minister Naeem Akhter to kindly release the salary of SSA teachers which is lying pending for the last 5 months. Teachers also demanded regularization of ReT teachers who have completed their degrees from distance education mode i.e. own correspondence degrees. Speakers said the teachers are running through very acute financial crunch due to non-payment of their salaries for the last few months together and reiterated that the same should be released at earliest. Among others who spoke on this occasion were Vipan Khujria, Ravi Gopal, Sunil, Deep Raj, Ajay, Sanjay Tula Ram, Desraj Pratap and others Distt president meena Sharma. |
