Politicians, babus skip cremation of Kishtwar soldier | Have no time to express solidarity with bereaved family | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, May 9: The Territorial Army man Sepoy Kishori Lal Rathore resident of Dhar hamlet of Badhat village of Drabshala in Kishtwar district who died near the Line of Control (LoC) in Machil Sector in frontier district of Kupwara during an anti infiltration operation to prevent the infiltration bid from across the border was today cremated with full military honour and his mortal remains were put to conflagration on the bank of river Chenab at Drabshala Kishtwar in presence of hundreds of people who had arrived from different parts of Kishtwar and adjoining Doda district to pay the rich tributes to the deceased soldier who scarified his life for defending the national pride during the line of duty while politician from across the political class of District Kishtwar and Doda including self acclaimed nationalist BJP party along with local administration had no time in their busy schedule to participate in the last rites of the martyred soldier. The District administration was represented by lower rank District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kishtwar Dewan Chand Thakur while Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar who was though present at helipad Kishtwar yesterday when the mortal remains of the soldier landed at Kishtwar and Assistant Commissioner Revenue skip the cremation of brave soldier. As per the details available with "Early Times", after arrival of the body of the martyred soldier at Kishtwar helipad on Sunday, the army shifted his mortal remains to his native village Dhar in Dadhat Drabshala where several of his friends, family members and relatives paid rich tribute to the departed soul before his body was today cremated on the bank of river Chenab at Drabshala. His father Somi Raj lit the body of the martyr on fire in presence of Senior army officers led by Brigadier Akshit Bajpaee Commandant 9 Sector Rashtriya Rifle along with Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Sandeep Kumar Wazir. Before the last rites, the army gives full guard of honor to the deceased soldier with 21 gun shots. Born on 1-04-1992 to a family of farmers, 24 year old Kishori Lal will be proudly remembered by his peers for his indomitable spirit, a ve-ry high camaraderie quotient, commitment towards duty and thrust of achieving higher goals. The deceased joined army about two years ago and was survived by mother, father and four sisters. Meanwhile the top politicians from ruling BJP & PDP beside main opposition parties Congress, National Conference along with their party leaders today skipped the cremation of the martyred who lost his lie while defending the integrity and sovereignty of the nation along the Line of Control. BJP has Three MLA's from Doda and Kishtwar including Minister of State for Transport, Science & Technology Sunil Kumar Sharma (MLA Kishtwar) while Congress has one MLA and NC & PDP has one MLC each, but none of them spare an hour to participate in the last rites of the deceased soldier. The people informed the "Early Times" that all such politicians had love for their chair added that even BJP who acclaimed themselves as nationalist party too skips the cremation that shows that they had no love and respect for the scarifies of the 24 year old Kishori Lal Rathore who achieved the martyrdom so that common people could sleep without any fear.
