| Joint delegation of CWA, GNRWS call on PDD officials | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9: A joint delegation of Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) in collaboration with Gandhi Nagar Resident Welfare Society (GNRWS), Jammu headed by Er Vikram Gour today met with senior official of PDD at Mehar Chand Mahajan Hall, Gandhi Nagar and raised various issues related to people.
PDD was represented by Ashwani K Gupta, Chief Engineer along with his staff subordinate including Sudhir Gupta, Executive Engineer and Sanjiv Rohmetra, AEE Gandhi Nagar and directed to discuss the work of improving the existing distribution system being carried out in Jammu region under R-APDRP by IRCON the Construction Agency appointed by the Government.
Representatives of the IRCON and ALB consultant team appointed by Govt for re-designing the old distribution system also attended the meeting. Residents of Gandhi Nagar were educated by IRKON team about the installation and functioning of new system.
The consumers' representatives and the residents of Gandhi Nagar gave the feedback about their experience and the problems being faced due to work being carried out by untrained workers of IRCON at some places.
Chief Engineer gave strict instructions to IRCON and ALB team to see that the work is carried out strictly as per design and the quality of work should be without any flaw that might result in creating problems for consumers. |
