Continue reservation in promotion, Poonchi urges CM | | | Early Times Report Poonch, May 9: Shamsheer Hakla Poonchi the prominent Gujjar leader urged upon Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to continue promotion of reserved categories employees. According to press release, Poonchi has urged the Chief Minister to pass a bill in the coming session of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly for continue the promotion of Jammu and Kashmir Govt. employees belonging to schedule Tribe, Scheduled Caste, other backward classes and Resident of backward areas communities of state. He said that every sphere of life, reservation is the need of the hour and is a necessity for schedule tribe, schedule caste, other backward classes' communities. "In order to keep them with government employees belonging to above said communities; their reservation for promotions is an essential requirement", he said, adding that recently, in this year, in ban on the use of Beef in J&K state has objected the state Govt. and got it revoked by the Supreme Court by an appeal of the J&K state Govt. but in the case of the promotions of the Govt. employees belonging to Scheduled Tribe /Scheduled Caste Community of J&K, the state Govt. did not show any interest. "This need was more vital than the use of Beef because the order for the multiplying reservation of promotions of Schedule Tribe/Schedule caste has badly affected the economic progress of the weaker section of the J&K state", he said. |
