| Kathua, May 9: The Excise Sleuths of Kathua Excise Range conducted series of raids in district under the command of ETO, Kathua Excise Range, Sandeep Gupta, to eradicate menace of illicit distillation of liqour. According to press release, the team conducted raids in villages Keengdayal, Sitdyal, Khanwal, Banyari, Parsochak, Upper and Lower Saktachak and adjoining areas. In the process 1250 Kg Lahan and 25 bottles of illicit liquor prepared from Lahan, which is highly injurious to health, has been destroyed. The Department has initiated multi-pronged strategy to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liqour. Inspection teams have been activated and there shall be no laxity for those who violate the law. |
