Opposition to Sainik Colony in Kashmir, silence of BJP intriguing: Hari Om | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 9: Dismissing BJP, Congress, PDP, NC and separatist outfits in Kashmir as chips of the same anti-India block, Jammu for India convener, Prof Hari Om, on Monday asked BJP to make its stand clear on the PDP's mischievous statement that establishment of Sainik Colony in Budgam will further complicate things in Kashmir. "BJP is part of PDP-led coalition government. It is a party to all decisions that the state government takes and all statements that spokesperson of the J&K government and Education Minister Naeem Akhtar makes. It can't play ignorance card by saying that the establishment of Sainik Colony in Kashmir is a defence-related issue and only the defence Ministry is competent to settle the issue," said Prof Hari Om while reacting to the statement to this effect made in Srinagaron Monday by the Minister for Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, who belongs to BJP. BJP has to make its stand clear to establish on which side it is as far as the issue of Sainik Colony in Kashmir is concerned, said JFI convener. He added that BJP is playing with fire by allowing PDP to humiliate and abuse our soldiers, who have been making supreme sacrifices since October 1947 to save Kashmir for India and secure the life not only of common people but also of Kashmiri leaders of all hues. "Kashmir would have become part of Pakistan, had our dedicated soldiers not fought splendidly in 1947 and made supreme sacrifices even thereafter," asserted Prof Hari Om. The JFI convener added that it is disgusting that parties like BJP and Congress, like PDP, NC and separatist outfits, consider of our soldiers "outsiders" and describe the idea of establishment of Sainik Colony in Kashmir as an attempt to change the Kashmir's demographic profile. "The condition of our soldiers in Kashmir was never that pathetic as it has been since March 1, 2015, when BJP threw its nationalist ideology into dustbin for a few official crumbs. It is the BJP which made our Army Commander to hold a press conference in Srinagar to tender an unconditional apology from anti-national forces in the Valley for some Muslim votes. It is at the behest of the BJP Government at the Centre that the state governor on March 18 ordered the Army to vacate strategic camps at Tatoo Grounds, Srinagar; High Grounds, Anantnag; Kargil and Jammu latest by March 31. It was the BJP under whose regime strategically located bunkers in Handwara were dismantled in broad day light to send a message across the border, nay across the world, that New Delhi was retreating from Kashmir step-by-step. It was also during the PDP-BJP regime that a part of the Tatoo Ground, which was vacated by the Army under pressure from undesirables in Kashmir, was named as "Peace Park", thus telling the international community that only those areas in Kashmir are peaceful where there is no army presence," said Prof Hari Om. India is the only country which was divided on the basis of religion; India is the only country where the institution of army is systematically undermined to the happiness of hostile nations; the Indian dispensations post-1947 are the only dispensations in the world which have consistently worked overtly and covertly against their own people and the Indian state as well lamented Prof Hari Om, adding "this is the way the world ends, not with a bang but with whimper". He also said that certain vested interests in and outside the establishment are working day and night to prepare ground for another communal partition of India by weakening our defence establishment in Kashmir. |
