Influentials encroach poor man's land, construct house; Revenue Deptt, CB watch 5/9/2016 11:59:54 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, May 9: State Revenue Deptt and Crime Branch have failed to initiate legal action against the encroachers who snatched land from their poor neighbour and constructed pucca house upon it sources said here today. One Bagh Hussain S/o Noor Mohd of Gursai had 20 kanals of land under khasra No. 840,841, 845 and 846 but his neighbors namely Wazir Mohd, Akbar ud-Din and others snatched all his land forcibly which falls under khasra no. 846. He brought the matter before the Tehsildar Harni but his plea fell on deaf hears. Sources said that the poor man approached Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) Mandhar Thakur Sher Singh who ordered stay on the construction that was going on Bagh Hussain's land by his neighbour Akbar ud-Din. He alleged that Naib Tehsildar Harni Mohd Kabir failed to implement SDM's order hence the encroachers carried on the construction. He got another stay on the construction on his land from local court but again Naib Tehsildar Mohd Kabir saw to it that the stay was not implemented the sources said. Later the matter was brought in to the notice of ACR Poonch who asked for detailed report of the matter. After going throught the details ACR also ordered a stay on the construction but Naib Tehsildar by his influence managed to keep stay order at bay instead informed ACR that the construction was going on upon land that falls under Khasra No. 866 instead of 846. Having no respite from any side Bagh Hussain gave an application in Crime Branch Jammu against the Revenue authorities and SHO police station Gursai in December 2015 vide receipt No. 11008 but after lapse of nearly five months nothing has been done by the CB in the case, Bagh Hussain Complained.
