Education Department harasses employee, denies release of advance GP Fund 5/23/2016 11:31:19 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, May 23: The deep rooted corruption prevailing in the Education Department Jammu can be gauged from the fact that a teacher had been put to face huge harassment to get her advance Gratuity Provident Fund sanctioned for urgent need. Sources told Early Times that a teacher in Education Department had applied for release of Advance GP Fund for a pressing need but clerical staff at Chief Education Office Jammu was consistently denying the clearance of the case on one pretext or other, putting the employee to huge inconvenient and humiliation. "An Accounts Assistant working at CEO Jammu who has been deployed from Finance Department to handle the cases and other staff are intentionally lingering the case ostensibly to get monetary benefit from the employee to get through the case," they said further adding that it has been more than months since the file has been in process but the nexus in the CEO office is creating hurdle to pressurize the employee to get their palms greased. Shockingly, after paying number of visits to CEO Jammu, when teacher's husband went to the CEO Jammu, he was insulted, humiliated in full public view for giving representation on behalf of his wife. "The account assistance out rightly refused to listen to grievances and give any information regarding the GP Fund rules for employees told him to leave," they alleged. The behavior of the clerical staff was so rude and discourteous that one had to face huge difficulty to get their work done. Already Education Department particularly staff of CEO Jammu had been in limelight for turning into corruption hub but till date not corrective measures were taken by the government.
