Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 23: Notwithstanding the tall claims of the Government of providing better infrastructure in Government hospitals, but it is shocked to know that outside the emergency block of premier Government Medical College hospital (GMCH) Jammu the chairs installed for the attendants being broken which mock at the claims of the Government and it is irony that the broken chairs welcome whose so ever attendants enter the hospital but the lackadaisical approach on the part of the authorities raised question mark and the attendants rued that this is the condition of the infrastructure outside the emergency block and authorities taking it casually and if it is inside the wards then the one can expect that the authorities won't make proper infrastructure. When this correspondent visited the emergency block astonished to see the pitiable condition of the chairs and attendants being forced to stand barring some chairs which are not broken and the attendants sharing details with this scribe lashes out at the Health Department for not replacing the worn out chairs which is the necessity as inside the emergency block the administration won't allow more than two attendants, so the attendants have no other option then to stand adding, old age attendants who thronged the hospitals with the patients up in arms against the Government that they not able to remove these chairs as the Hospital being thronged by people from different areas and it put a blot on the face of the administration for their utter failure in replacing the chairs which not take that much money if Administration tries to gives lame excuse for the same. "The chairs are broken since several weeks but the indifferent attitude of the authorities not replacing it rather it apparently looks that authorities are waiting resentment from the people after that they are replaced the same" sources regretted adding, astoundingly even the principal and Medical superintendent also not bother to direct concerned authorities to replace the broken chairs which brings disgrace on the part of reputed institution". "Even those chairs which are installed at the front two rows silver in color outlived its life in the sense that they too fluctuates if one can sit on it and there is apprehension that if one can sit he/she may fell down but the administration of GMCH in slumber putting the attendants to face hardships". Despite repeated attempts, Medical superintendent GMCH DR.Ravinder Rattan Paul didn't respond to the calls from the early times for his version. |
