Separatists' meet: Something cooking up at Hyderpora | | | Early Times Report jammu, May 23: Something was serious cooking up on Monday at the Hyderpora residence of Pakistani agent Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Those cooked up something anti-India included Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik and their supporters. The meeting took place after 6 p.m.Before meeting Geelani, Mirwaiz and Malik met separately with each other at APHC-M, Rajbagh. These meetings could not be termed ordinary developments. These were extraordinary developments and there are potent reasons to believe that they held discussions on issues regarding joint strategy among separatists in the sense that they otherwise hate each other for personal reasons. It is obvious that they are preparing themselves for a bigger mischief that is calculated to foment anti-India troubles in the Valley. There are also reasons to believe that they - apart from discussing ways and means aimed at bringing about unity among the separatist flanks - discussed the issues of return of NHPC-rum projects to J&K, National Eligibility Entrance Test, proposal on setting up of two Sainik Colony in Srinagar and Budgam. These separatists as well as political parties like the NC and the Congress have upped the ante against the PDP-BJP coalition government and charged it with diluting the state's special status. They have been instigating the gullible Kashmiri Muslims by misrepresenting facts and their aim is not only create an ugly scene for New Delhi in the Valley but also to harm the interests of the people of Jammu province, who oppose the demand seeking return of NHPC-run projects to J&K Government and favour a system that brings J&K under the ambit of NEET as well as construction of Sainik Colonies in Kashmir, saying their demands, if accepted, would harm both the nation and Jammu. They grievance of the people of Jammu province is that the Government of India has failed to take any step to rein in the handful of separatists. They have also a grievance against the state government and their grievance is that it has allowed hem full freedom to indulge in anti-national and anti-Jammu activities. Now that Geelani, Mirwaiz, Malik and other separatists have held meeting to chalk out a joint strategy, it would be only appropriate for the government to pre-empt their anti-India move. The best thing for it to do would be put them behind bars for an indefinite period. Their place is jail. |
