Coalition Govt miserably failed to perform: Bhalla | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 24: Double standards in merit, justice and honesty by coalition government have forced people to change their notions about the difference between justice and injustice, good and evil. On the other hand, it exposed the double standards adopted by rulers in governance issues. This was stated by former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla while addressing a public meeting in Gandhi Nagar constituency. During the meeting, public of constituency highlighted several issues before the former Minister like water scarcity, unscheduled power cuts, Ration shortage and many others. They also brought into the notice of former Minister that despite creating two posts of Tehsildars in Gandhi Nagar constituency, both these posts are lying vacant for months together. They further told that they were facing many hardships to get their issues addressed in lieu of vacant posts but the concerned authorities are unmoved over the issue. They also raised the issue of lady from Nai Basti who died in terrorist attack at Kud few days back has not been given any relief from Government and so far no one from Government side even visited the house of said lady. On response of the Peoples Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir to various challenges confronting to the state, he said they have failed in providing good governance and in building an atmosphere wherein various segments of the society live in peace and harmony. Describing Congress Party as an instrument of service to the people and having always worked for upliftment and well being of the people keeping aside their caste, colour, region or religion, Bhalla said that Congress Party has always defeated the autocratic behavior of those who believe in suppressing or oppressing and victimizing the masses or opponents while in power. Giving patient hearing to all the genuine issues of public of Gandhi Nagar constituency, Bhalla assured the meeting that he will leave no stone unturned in projecting their genuine grievances at the concerned platform for the mitigation of the same. |
