Appointment of CEs in PDD delayed 6/24/2016 11:27:14 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 24: Inspite of five clear vacancies of Chief Engineer (electrical) available in the Power Development Department, the BJP-PDP alliance govt headed by Mehbooba Mufti is yet to make any significant headway in this direction. It is pertinent to mention that at present the two top positions of Chief Engineer EM&RE Jammu & Chief Engineer EM&RE Srinagar are being held on additional charge basis. In the absence of full fledged Chief Engineers the Operation & Maintenance of the Electrical System in the PDD and the implementation of the various centrally sponsored schemes and flag ship programmes are being adversely affected. As a coincidence all the top five eligible officers for the post of Chief Engineer Electrical belong to Jammu region. Is it discrimination with Jammu region or not has to be decided by the Mehbooba Mufti led PDP-BJP Govt especially the BJP which come into power on the promises that welfare and the interest of Jammu region would be safeguarded and taken care of.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
