Locals got restive over defunct water pumping station 6/24/2016 11:31:32 PM Early Times Report Mendhar, June 23: Facing the hardships due to water crisis in this humid and harsh summer, the locals of Harni in Mendhar of Poonch district are agitated over the officials apathy as the water pumping station is lying defunct for over last one week. Local reports said that, the locals alleged that AEE PHE (Mech) paid no heed to their repeated requests about the water scarcity to which they were forced to face for over last one week due to non functioning the water pump in the area. Meantime expressing concerns over the issue, the PDP youth leader Imran Khan has urged AEE PHE (Mech) Poonch to restore the water supply to the affected areas at earliest. He alleged said the department has failed to maintain the motors and other machinery of the water pumps.
