JAMMU, June 24: Naveen Aggarwal, who is at present ADGP (trainings) at police headquarters (PHQ) here, has proceeded on central deputation. He is the fourth ADGP of J&K who has got a posting at the Centre. The other three included B Srinivas, D R Doley and R R Swain. While Srinivas proceeded on central deputation in September 2015, Doley and Swain had got central postings in June 2014 and November 2006 respectively. The state, which had a total of nine ADGPs, is now left with only five. Aggarwal had been trying for the central deputation for the past two years, but he got it only a few days back. "He has been posted as director (CIO) in the national anti-doping agency of central sports department initially for five years. The period of service can be increased," police sources said. The PHQ and state home department had been asked to relieve him as soon as possible so that he could join at his new place of posting at the earliest, the sources added. Aggarwal has held many important postings in the state police department. |
