ramban, July 5 : In wake of upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz , a special team comprising of Executive Officer Municipal Committee Ramban, Zubaida Parveen, Naib Tehsildar, G H Sehmat, TSO, Food Safety Officer, conducted the checking of main markets in Ramban town today.
During the checking, the team noticed violations like non display of rate lists, over charging, and un-hygienic food items in some shops. A fine of Rs.6400 has been realised from the defaulters on the spot besides the team also destroyed over 20 kg, rotten vegetables, fruits and bakery items and other eatables in the market
An aim to keep check on the market similar checking drive was also conducted in Ramban by Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology department, Kapil Jamwal and released fine an amount of Rs. 4700 from the violator traders. Besides checking strict instructions have been given to the defaulters to maintain standard hygiene in their shops and also asked them to sell fresh and quality vegetable in the market on reasonable rates. It was strictly conveyed them that the team will conduct such checking in market in the future also. |
