udhampur, July 5 : A deputation of General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) today called on Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Jib Zone in Udhampur district and raised the issue of Mid Day Meal and demanded grants for Mid Day Meal.
The delegation led by Vivek Gupta also discussed various burning issues of the teachers' community.
"During the meeting, the delegation discussed in details about the grants pending of Mid Day Meal, spokesperson of forum said and stated that it urged the ZEO Jib to release the pending Mid Day Meal dues so that Mid day Meal scheme In the school is made functional smoothly."
The delegation also has demanded to follow the guidelines of new transfer policy while recommending the names of teachers for transfer to various schools with due weight-age to the teachers who had served in the rural areas for more than 3 years, widows and teachers suffering from life consuming diseases.
ZEO Jib Mansa Ram gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them to the early redressal of their genuine demands on priority basis. Other who comprised the part of the delegation included Rakesh Singh, Sohan Lal, Ajit Gupta, Ravinder kumar, Satish Sharma,Vinod kumar, Narinder Raina and Subash chander.
