NPSU demands filling up posts of CIC, SIC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: NPSU held a massive protest demonstration against state government for not filling the post of Chief Information Commissioner and State Information commissioner at state Information Commission. According to press release, the activists of NPSU gathered at University gate and raised anti-government slogans and burnt the effigy of state government. The protest was led by Thakur Virender Singh state President NPSU while addressing the media person Singh lambasted that this is really matter of concern that the State Information Commission is without chief Information Commissioner since long time and no initiatative have been take by state government in order to fill the vacant post of SIC. Singh added that RTI is the only tool which has strengthens the roots of democratic state by exposing the huge scams and irregularities. This is a big question mark on the promises made by state government to bring transparency that the State Information Commission is without Chief Information Commission since years and no initiative have been taken to fill the said post. Singh warned the state government if any positive step will not be taken by state government in order to fill all the vacant post of state information commission, then NPSU is going to launch massive agitation. |
