Reasi, July 5: A special plantation drive was organized here today following the direction of District Development Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar IAS, at Government High School, Sirla Bhaga.
According to press release, on this occasion, one school has been adopted by the Chief Medical Officer, Reasi for the special drive of plantation to save the environment . Under the program 32 different types of saplings were planted by the dignitaries included Chain Singh (Sarpanch), Shankar Singh (Head Master), Veena Devi (Naib Sarpanch), Shatar Singh (Panch), Kunj lal (Teacher), Mangal Singh (Teacher), Gulab Singh (Teacher), Mahesh Chander (VLW). On this occasion all the participants were educated regarding the importance of plantation drive and the duties of the citizen to protect the Mother Earth by protecting the each planted sapling, one by each participant and to review the growth and protection of planted sapling on regular basis. |
