Eid festivity turns into mourning as two IRP men die in road mishap | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: Celebrations of auspicious Eid turned into mourning for families of two constables of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) who were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on skidded off the road at plunged into deep gorge at Tikri, intervening night. The deceased have been identified as Constable Mansoor Ahmed (5th Battalion) son of Mohd Iqbal of Sigdi Kishtwar and Constable Liyaqat Hussain (14th Battalion) son of Ali Mohammad of Khajai Padder Kishtwar, both posted at Sunjwan. Police said that both the constables were on their way to their home in Kishtwar to celebrate Eid and while reaching near Tikri, motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AN-6491, skidded off the road following it fell into deep gorge resulting death of the duo. "It was the Tuesday morning when some locals at around 8:15 am saw the motorcycle in gorge and immediately called the local Police, police sources said. They said a team from Tikri police station was rushed to spot which shifted the bodies to Primary Health Center (PHC) Tikri for the postmortem. Rehambal police registered the case and further investigation going on. |
