Couple among 3 die, 4 injured in Ramban road tragedy 7/5/2016 11:07:39 PM Early Times Report Banihal, July 5: Three persons including a couple died while four others sustained critical injuries when the van they were travelling met with an accident on Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Banihal. Police sources have established identities of deceased as Mohammad Ayoub, a police constable his wife Parveena Begum, resident of Sarbagni Ramsoo and the driver of the van Shabir Ahmad of Thachi Banihal and. According to an eye witnesses, the van was heading towards Banihal when it skidded off the highway near Rattan Bass some 2 km short from Banihal Town and rolled down into a 300 -ft deep gorge. The critically injured persons were shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment and have been identified as SPO Gulzar Ahmed (30) son of Gul Mohd of Ramsoo, Hanan Parveez Khan (13) son of Parveez Ahmed, Nargis (36) wife of Parvez Khan both residents of Chamalwas, Irfan Ahmed (34) son of Asadullah Malik of Chachihall. Meanwhile the MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool has demanded the ex gratia relief for the kin of the deceased and to the injured persons. He also has extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families. National Conference (NC) District President Sajad Shaheen also has condoled death of deceased persons and has expressed his sympathies to the bereaved families.
