LEH, July 5: To inculcate awareness and information of flagship programmes of the Government of India among the inhabitants of Leh district, a Rally of students was organized by Directorate of Field Publicity (DFPs), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India at Leh.
According to press release, the Rally was flagged off by Executive Councilor, Works, LAHDC, Leh Dorjey Mutop.
The Rally which commenced from Eliezer Joldan Memorial College passed through Housing colony, main road, Sakara Chownk and returned back to Degree College Leh. The participants were displaying playcards, chanting slogans like "Beti Bacho- Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat- Swasth Bharat, Mera Khata- Bagvidata" during the rally.
On this occasion dignitaries Viz Dr G S Rakhwal, Principal Degree College Leh, Rakesh Badyal Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh, Neha Jalali Deputy Director DFP J&K and Peer Zahoor Dy. Sp Headquarter were present.
After culmination of rally an inter school quiz contest was also organized. |
