| Sincere public servants facing Government's wrath: POF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: Public Opinion Forum (POF) in its meeting held today under the presidentship of Parveen Sharma expressed great concern on the victimization of the Government officers who are honest, sincere to their duties and are men of integrity.
It has been observed that the officers who are doing their job efficiently without any prejudice and are dedicated government servants are being transferred as a punishment of being sincere towards their job.
The POF expressed its great shock on the fact that the BJP-PDP alliance which came into power with the commitment that it shall provide a honest, corruption free and a transparent government, but its actions are contrary to their commitments.
Because of this the morale of these honest and dedicated officers gets a severe jolt and they are feeling demoralised. This happened in almost all the departments as a result the corrupt and dishonest officers have their way to loot the public money in connivance with their masters.
The POF demands that honest and sincere officers being posted on important and sensitive jobs be allowed to work without any political pressure. The Forum also demands that the politicians, government officers, who have indulged in malpractices previously be prosecuted and punished as a deterrents to the corrupt officers presently working in the system.
It (Forum) also demands that organisations like State Accountability Commission and State Vigilance Commission should work speedily and efficiently to book the dishonest politicians and bureaucrats.
This is essential to ensure transparency in the system and also to ensure the speedy development of the state. |
