Poor BSNL services leave Bari Brahmana Ind Complex, Jammu fuming | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 11: The industries located in the Industrial complex in Bari Brahmana in Jammu are angered with frequent failure of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Services. "In today's day and age when critical business functions are dependent upon internet and cloud, due to poor services of BSNL the industries in the state can't compete with industries in other states and other countries", says Lalit Mahajan, President of Bari Brahmana Industrial Association (BBIA). The effected industries, majority of them Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), held a meeting on 9th July to discuss the issue. "Since proper internet services and effective functioning of broad band connections is a prerequisite for smooth functioning of any industrial unit, an urgent intervention into the matter by the concerned authorities is sought by all the members of Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex", Mahajan said. The concerns raised by members included the frequent disturbances in the internet connectivity, non-availability of internet ports to replace the damaged ports and non-availability of the requisite spare parts in the exchange. All of which has adversely effected internet service which on a regular basis remains inaccessible during the working hours. This leaves industrialists in the region with no option but to run from pillar to post to get the faulty lines prepared. BBIA has requested the Chief General Manager of BSNL to resolve the issues on an urgent basis to provide relief to the industrial units by allowing them to seamlessly carry out their daily operations via internet. |
