Shoba, kalash yatra taken out | | | Early Times Report KATRA, July 11: On the first day of the ongoing 9-day Chandi Maha yagh being held at Katra, an impressive shoba and kalash yatra was taken out today which passed through the main bazar of Katra and culminated at Shree Rajmata Janday wala mandir, Udhampur road Katra. The SP Katra Kotwal flagged off the yatra by cutting red ribbon in presence of the various prominent citizens of Katra, Reasi, Udhampur, and Jammu including Satish Sahni, Sonu Thakar, Rahul, Kuldeep Singh and many other sevadars. Thousands of people standing both sides of the bazar from where the yatra passed were waiting to have a darshan of Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj, head of the Shree Rajmata Janday Wala Mandir and Jai Deva mission who is organising this Chandi maha yagh. The yagh is being organized to end the menace of terrorism in the state. Speaking to the people SP Katra appreciated the efforts of the organizer and wished every success to their mission. Hundreds of men and women's participated in the shobha yatra and bandhara was also served where cold drink and drinking water was served by Pepsi and parshad by satmola. On 10th of July the yagh will start with lighting of traditional light by the Chief Executive Officer Shrine Board. |
